  教学目标

  1.能初步听懂、会说和会读日常交际用语Welcome to… What are these/those? They’re… Are these/those…? Yes, they are. /No, they aren’t.

  2.能听懂、会说、会读和会拼写单词farm, they, those, apple, pear, orange。

  能听懂、会说、会读单词pig,cow,chicken, duck。

  3.培养学生,热爱自然,热爱生活的情感。

  教学环节

  T: Hello , boys and girls. Welcome to my English class. First, let’s sing a song together..After the song, please tell me where the animals (动物) are .Let’s listen to a song first.(播放歌曲)。

  T:What a lovely song! Where are the animals ?

  1. Learn the new word “farm”

  T: Great. Look at this picture(出示一张农场的图片). This is a farm.

  So what is a farm? A or B? A.动物园  B.农场

  T: Yes. Follow me, please. Father + mum→ farm  Who can try?

  2. Brain storm

  T: When we talk about farm, what comes to your mind?

  T: Those are animals. Are there any fruit or vegetables on the farm?

  S: apples / pears/ oranges/ potatoes/ tomatoes...

  Step3. While-reading

  T: Wow! There are many animals and fruit on a farm. Would you like to go to a farm?

  T: Great! Liu Tao and Mike are on a farm. Let’s follow them. OK?

  1.Listen and answer

  T: Look!(出示pic1) Liu Tao and Mike are talking with an old man. Please listen to them and find out who the old man is.

  T: Who is he?  Which one do you choose?

  A:He is Mike’s grandpa.

  B:He is Liu Tao’s grandpa.

  2.Imitate and act

  T: Oh, he is Liu Tao’s grandpa. Let’s listen to him again and choose the correct tone.

  A. friendly(友好地) B. excitedly(兴奋地)

  T:Which one do you choose?

  T: Yes! Grandpa is so nice to Mike. Here’s a mask of grandpa. Who can act grandpa vividly?

  3.Watch and choose

  T: Well done. Let’s see what Mike sees on grandpa’s farm. Please watch the cartoon and choose the correct pictures.

  Animals  (出示动物图片) £cows, £chickens, £pigs, £ducks

  Fruit  (出示动物图片) £pears,£ bananas, £oranges,£ apples

  4.Read and underline

  T: Mike is so excited when he sees the animals and fruit. So he asks many questions. Please read picture2-3 and underline Mike’s questions.

  T: Have you finished? What questions does Mike ask?

  T: Good job! Look at the questions and pictures. What’s the difference ?

  T: Good try! When the animals are nearby, we ask “What are these?” When the animals are far away, we ask “What are those?” Is that clear?

  Tip: these意思是“这些”,代指近处的事物;those意思是“那些”,代指远处的事物。

  5. Listen and learn

  T: Now Mike hears the sound of other animals. Let’s listen together. (出示农场图片,有小鸡(近处)和小鸭(远处),但图片模糊看不清)

  T: (听鸡叫声)What are these? Can you guess?

  T: Really. Let’s have a look. Oh, yes. You are right. Follow me, please. Chickens!

  T: Listen! What are those?

  T: Bingo! They are ducks. Follows me, please. Ducks.

  6. Look and say

  T: Mike finds the chickens and ducks. He asks grandpa some questions too. Please look at the pictures and the sentences. Try to complete their dialogues.

  Mike(头像): Excuse me, grandpa. What are...?

  Grandpa(头像): They are ...

  Mike(头像): They are lovely. What are ...?

  Grandpa(头像): They are ... Quack! Quack! Now, let’s go to see some fruit trees.

  7. Read and complete

  T: Let’s go to see some fruit trees with them. Please read Picture 4-5 and complete their dialogues.

  Mike: Are these __apples____?

  Grandpa: Yes, they are __apples____.

  Mike: Are those __apples____too?

  Liu Tao: No. They’re __pears____.

  Ss:...

  T: Have you finished? Let’s check.

  Ss:...

  T: Boys and girls, look at the words. Can you find the rules?

  Ss:...

  T: Good job! Here’s the tip. 英语名词有单数和复数之分,表示2个或2个以上的事物时用复数。大多数名词后面加上s就变成复数,如apple的复数是apples。

  8. Let’s guess.

  T: Grandpa picks some fruit in the baskets. Can you guess what they are?(出示农场图片,近处和远处各一个篮子,篮子上有盖子或盖上布)

  Are these/ those...?

  Yes, they are.

  No, they aren’t. They are...

  T: Let’s start from this basket. Who can try?

  S1: Are these apples?

  T: Maybe.

  S2: Are these pears?

  T: Perhaps. Let’s have a look. Oh, they are oranges. Follow me, please. Oranges.

  T: The next basket. Who can try?

  S: Are those oranges too?/ Are those...?

  T: Let’s see. Oh, they are pears.

  9. Reading time

  T: We have read the whole story. Now please listen to the audio and read after it. Try to read it vividly. OK?

  Ss: OK!

  T: Here we go!

  Ss:...

  T: Wonderful. Please read the story with your partners in a group of three. Here are the options for you.

  Read together with your partners.

  Read in roles.

  Read and act in roles.

  T: Boys and girls, it’s your show time. Which group wants to try?

  Step3. Post-reading

  1. Make your own farm.

  现场制作自己的农场并且介绍。

  2.Enjoy the farm life

  T: Mike likes the farm very much. So does Lily and Ben. Here’s a picture book called on the farm. Let’s read it together.

  T: Boys and girls, do you like the story?

  S: Yes.

  T: Good! Maybe you can go to the farm with your parents this weekend. It’s enjoyable to close to the nature.
